“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.“ Acts 2
The mission of our faithGROUPS is to people in our groups connect with one another, while being intentional to grow with Jesus! Our hope for our group meetings is to see fellowship, Bible study, and time spent in prayer together. We believe when we focus on these three things, we see growth happen not only in our group, but in our personal lives with Jesus Christ. At the end of the day, our heart is to see our church find biblical community with one another!
faithGROUPS range from approximately 3-4 people all the way to 15-16 people. There is no perfect size for groups.
Groups will meet for 10-12 weeks at a time throughout the fall and winter seasons. We change pace during the Christmas season as well as summer, encouraging groups to get together for parties, pot-lucks, and serve projects. We are intentional to follow the school calendar year, as it has a natural flow to it that many of us are accustomed to. At the end of each semester, groups that fit well with one another will have the option of staying connected or if they were not a good fit, they can take the off-ramp at wait for the next group launch to find a new group that may be a better fit.
During the course of each semester, we ask that groups meet together weekly. We suggest that every group include at least one pot-luck in a member’s home as this is something that we find to be very beneficial in getting groups to connect. Not to mention, the biblical significance of breaking bread together! We also suggest that each group leader work with their group to come up with a serve project during the course of the 10-12 week semesters. We value the biblical principle of serving very high at Faith Chapel and encourage all groups to experience it!
Our Billings & Beyond ministry will be available to help resource and plan out serve projects.
Meeting Time and Location
Groups have the choice of meeting whenever and wherever best fits their needs. The Group Link weekend and our Group Finder Page will be the best resources for a person to find a location/leader/time that will best fit their individual needs. Leaders will determine a day and location ahead of time for when and where their group will meet. Our preference is for faithGROUPS to meet in a group member’s home.
The church will be available for groups to meet as long as they are scheduled during operating hours. (Times Vary) Childcare will ONLY be provided on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00PM.
*Note: Groups that meet at the church and have children present are required to have childcare. This is a precaution that we must take to ensure safety for our families and church.
The faithGROUPS team has a great selection of studies to choose from. For existing groups, we have access to thousands of studies at RightNowMedia. In addition to this, each semester the groups team will host a focused study on Wednesday nights to help new groups get launched. This winter, we will be studying Francis Chan's Forgotten God.
